The legendary monster in 90s makes his comeback! Godzilla is originated from a 1954 Japanese movie entitled ‘Gojira’ directed by Ishiro Honda together with Toho Co. Ltd. The new Godzilla movie 2014 is a 3-D monster produced by Warner Bros Pictures and Legendary Pictures has apparently caught people around the world attention, especially those who are the fans of the prior movies about this gigantic monstrous reptile.
A British director, Gareth Edwards, has been believed to create a remake ‘Godzilla’ which has its premiere in May 16 starred by Bryan Caston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elisabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins and David Strathairn. Together, they build up a great story of human bravery in returning the balance life of the world while facing the tremendous Godzilla.
The story began when Joe Brody (Bryan Caston), working in a nuclear reactor in Tokyo, faced a peculiar incident in the nuclear plan which lead to a dreadful event in which his wife (Juliette Buniche) died. Joe’s life changed a lot after this incident and he still strived for the truth behind this incident up to 15 years later. This makes he lives as a bizarre person in his society and for his son, Ford Brody (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) who is an army bomb disposal expert in USA and married to Elle (Elisabeth Olsen). Because of his father trespassed in a nuclear area and getting caught, Ford went to Japan to get him back. After retrieving his father, Ford realized that his father still obsessed with the incident in the nuclear plant when he took Joe back to the apartment. Later, they found that the government covered something about the incident and the clues indicated the involvement of MUTOs (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism). This is where the climax begins.
‘Godzilla’ becomes the second movie getting the largest debut of the year in this weekend with $93.2 million. It comes the second after ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ by Disney-Marvel debuted in April with $95 million and one rank above ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ by Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures with $91.6 million coming out this month.
